Final Exam

4. My transformative photo would most likely be this one shown below.

I believe that this one is my transformative photo because this was the first time I learned about Depth of Field. I felt like Depth of Field completely revolutionized the way I viewed photography. By using Depth of Field, I can easily show the viewer which part of the photo is the focus and main point of the photograph.

5. The difference between shape and form is that shape only has 2 dimensions whereas form has all 3 dimensions. An example of shape would be a silhouette. The silhouette shows us the shadow of an object. We would know the shape of the object, but we would know nothing about the depth or thickness of the object.

6. The difference between repetition and pattern is that pattern is merely the repeating of an object or symbol spread throughout the entire picture. However, repetition is when pattern works together to form a sense of unity throughout the entire picture.

7. The one photo I will use to explain movement using this photo shown below.

Movement is the path that the viewer's eyes move throughout the picture. In my picture above, the first instinct of the viewer is to look at the depth of field. The viewer's eyes are drawn to the pine cone in focus, before looking into the blurred background. The viewer will gradually view the background afterwards. They will realize that there is a sign planted into the ground in the background. In this picture, movement is demonstrated because the viewer looks at the pine cone, then moves his eyes to the sign in the background.

8. I believe that my best work would be from the Final Project. Although my iPhone advertisement photos were very appealing, I still believe that my Final Project was the best work. For the Final Project, I had a lot of fun playing around with my old lamp and felt like I really got the old dusty look I was looking for. In addition to that, I came up with really unique depth of field in some of my photos. This project changed me in that I learned that playing around with different lighting can be really fun and as a result, can make photography even more fun. After this project, I can see differently because I learned that even the weirdest positioning of lighting can still make a very good photo. This project was the first project to make me almost completely satisfied with some of the photos in the Project. And as a result, I believe that this Final Project would be my best work.
